Final Webinar of the IEA HPT Annex 58 on High-Temperature Heat Pumps

Global engagement: The final webinar attracted over 230 participants

The recent webinar on High-Temperature Heat Pumps (HTHP) for industrial applications attracted over 230 participants from all over the world. The event was held under the theme HPT TCP Annex 58 High-Temperature Heat Pumps (HTHP) and provided a platform for valuable insights and collaborative discussions.

Representatives from 14 countries contributed to this international collaboration project (IEA HPT Annex 58), truly reflecting its global reach and significance.

Among the key highlights of the webinar were:

  • A thorough technology review showcasing over 35 heat supply technologies operating above 100 °C, up to 200 °C
  • Real-world demonstration cases featuring 15 examples spanning various industries
  • Integration concepts detailing options for integrating HTHPs into over 10 industrial processes
  • A comprehensive guideline designed to navigate the transition towards heat pump-based process heating
  • Recommendations for defining and testing heat pump specifications, offering valuable insights for industry stakeholders
